1/10 Scale 3D Printed Pickup Truck Bed Trailer

This trailer is inspired by the real-life pickup truck trailers you see on the road — where someone cuts an old truck in half and turns the bed into a pull-behind trailer. I decided to make my own version for the RC world.

The frame and axle mounts are now printed as a single solid piece in PETG. This creates a much stronger frame and improves the geometry of the suspension compared to previous versions where the axle mounts were bolted on after printing.

I’ve also added 3D printed leaf spring bushings that take the play out of the suspension, resulting in a much higher quality feel than the previous version.

This trailer comes in white and will need light finishing, priming, and painting in the color of your choice. The bed is held on with just four screws, so you can easily remove it, tape it off, paint it, and reinstall it with no hassle.

Taillight lenses are included so you can add 3mm LEDs if you want. The brake light lenses are printed in transparent red filament to match the body color, while the reverse lights are printed in clear transparent filament.

In the photos, you’ll see a trailer I’ve completely finished in red to match the Trail Finder 2 Chevy Scottsdale, with the full light kit installed. This gives you an idea of what the trailer will look like once completed. The light kit itself is not included.

This trailer was designed to match the Trail Finder 2 but looks great behind any rig. It adds a ton of character to your build.
